Scientific Philosophy Eva felt that the recording of new data to be cross-referenced with previous information was essential to the scientific world so that all preceding research could be used in succeeding generations. Eva used this philosophy to not only drive her own work, but strived for her successors to do the same. Eva's former colleague and friend, Penelope Walker (2008) explains how Eva "quickly saw the need for a body to collect and disseminate scientific information about bees, beekeeping, and related topics" (p. 68).
